Captial One 3X Boxing Day Event

The direction for this landing page and subsequent campaign banners was to put a high focus on the 3% cashback on all purchases on Costco.ca made with the Capital one Costco Mastercard for the boxing week event.

Costco Services

With 22 services, this page needed reorganization to allow for straightforward navigation. There were a few issues to resolve with this redesign. The home, business and insurance divisions needed to be cleaned up as they were physically separated on the page, this left a significant amount of useless whitespace. To fix this, I used colour to identify the different groups; that way, all the tiles can be kept together in a fluid grid. Also, logos for the companies, including those the service brokers worked with, needed to be visible. The logos were previously baked into the tile image, but this was time consuming to update and could get messy fast. I resolved this by putting the logos in the content section with primary and secondary logo lines. The last issue was the content; the clients felt that with just tiled images and service name, it wasn't giving the member enough information before clicking. The room for the text below the logos now allows for a short description.

2019 Daily Holiday Deals Campaign

The daily holiday deals is a 13-day digital campaign during the Christmas season. Each day included an email, landing page, homepage carousel banner, Facebook post, and email banners. For this year, I decided to go for the popular "ugly Christmas sweater" aesthetic with small animated elements. The background pattern mimics the stitches of a knitted sweater; the designs were created by colouring each stitch.

Costco Garden Centres

When designing this page, I wanted to keep it simple, clean and user-friendly. In previous years this page listed all the locations across Canada in one list, and it was up to the member to search through it to find the relevant information. Utilizing a recently created script on another Costco.ca page, we were able to show only the locations for a single province based on the province selection members specified when they first visited Costco.ca. An option to adjust their province selection was included at the top of the landing for convenience.

Membership Comparision

I developed this design to be a comparison chart while remaining WACG compliant. I needed to reduce the amount of repeating content in each section that listed global Costco membership benefits. I included a bottom section that could dive deeper into the benefits while keeping the comparison chart as easy as possible to read. I also added a few different spots to renew the membership online, a relatively new feature for Costco. There has been a 20% increase in traffic to the page since the design launched.

Weddings by Costco

With this redesign, I moved away from full images for the tiles to live text and floating product images. The new design not only cleaned up the look but also made this page incredibly easy to update and adapt to other event landing pages like; Back to school, Canada Day, and Valentine's Day.
